As a " Controlled Environment Agriculture " professional, who understands all facets of the industry, I agree and also disagree with what you are trying to explain. There is much misunderstanding and generalization but also economic politicization. CEA is a very technically demanding field that is grossly simplified for consumer and political consumption. Two knowledgeable CEA managers are far more valuable than any technology available. The tech gets in the way more often than not. People like myself, can walk through an operation and asses the needs and problems better and faster than the any technology available so far. Vast majority of CEA managers are as comfortable with programming micro-controllers as they are identifying fungi, and that is a rare combination of skill. The commercial side of the industry is catering to profit and selling the politically correct ideas rather than the actual produce. I monetarily profit from this generated climate as it maintains my usefulness operating at certain scale, while huge scale operations fail due to unreasonable profit demands and lack of knowledgeable people, who are not replaceable by tech. .......This style of agriculture has its place firmly established in the right context and it is wholesome and environmentally sustainable......... Sadly, the context is misrepresented and misunderstood. Why does the majority of population believe that one solution must solve all problems? Who started this type of thinking.? For every one problem there is one solution, but if that solution solves two problems consider it a bonus and not a new standard.

I'm an engineer. Anytime someone claims super efficiency, i know it is a scam. In physics class, you learn all about basic thermodynamics. When you do the math, the efficiency of any combustion cycle is 30%-40%, slight improvements with better materials give you maybe 1%-3% more. You can't design your way around physics.

Charge while you drive. Having just done a road trip in Western Australia with a Toyota hybrid, it could not be done with all electric. For long distances, a quiet low vibration car is a major bonus as you don't tire as quickly. So hoorah for an inherently quiet engine. The reality is though you are just averaging out the throttle setting with such a car with a higher battery flow on hills instead of depressing the gas pedal (but you won't get the power surge you need for high speed overtaking). The question then is how more efficient can the petrol engine be when run at optimal conditions. If you can charge from the wall socket it is different in a city. There is a huge advantage for a car that is cheap in the city but can do long distance country runs. One thing that most do not take into account is the source of charging electricity. If the power station is thermo dynamic with an efficiency say of 30% by the time you take into account transmission losses you might not save that much wrt a car that is 20% thermo dynamic efficent. Add in energy to make the batteries in the first place and will you make a life time carbon saving? That might be worth a video analysis
